HECH 6
What is it? HECH is a gathering of EC Collectors. All are welcome. Hoosier Elongated Coin Happening (HECH) is organized by a number of people who live in the state of Indiana. Yearly we gather in a different location to smash, trade and enjoy the company of other EC Collectors. ALL are welcome!!
When is it? Saturday, August 6th, 2005
Where is it? 2005 will be held at the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend. You can find a map here, or you can download a PDF
Details? Start: We will meet at the Zoo about 10 am. The machine is right inside the gate. Once everyone has smashed their fill we will move to the park.

Activities: At the park we will smash, trade, "flea market" supplies and enjoy the company of others. There will be three machines: Studebaker Museum (retired), College Football Hall of Fame (retired) and a HECH 6 die! There will also be something extremely rare that is only available to those who attend. Sorry I can not go into detail about it, but bring an extra $5 just for it.

Food: The one thing we have not solved yet is food. Be sure to bring your own drinks.

Transportation: There is a caravan being put together from Indy. Contact Rob Wilson Click on the drop down menu and choose Rob's name.

Side Trips: There are 4 machines on the toll road, two East and two West. It is 100 miles round trip in each direction from the park to the rest stops where 2 machines are. They are mainly genarics. Collecting these would be a good trip for the early bird or after the Gathering. It is best if you do not use the toll road because of the extra mileage and cost. If this is something your are really intent on doing, I can help with the routes.

Organizers There are many people to thank for putting this together mentioned here in no particular order. Brad Ream who hosted the first Gathering. Don Steffen who provided oomf to make it happen. Maureen Peters for the leg work at various time. Bob Davis for doing odds and ends. Rob Wilson of organizing and making it happen. Rich Hays, I have made the web site, but everyone else really does the work. We can not forget all those who come and make it so fun!! I am sure I missed someone, for this I am truly sorry. Please let me know whom I have missed. ~Rich
